Which headset would you recommended?

Okay i play XBox 360 a lot and i am tired of my old headset so i want a new one. I want one that i has good sound quality and surround sound and i don't mind if it has a few wires. I mainly want one that can boost my performance and is worth my money. I looked into Turtle Beach X41 but there pretty expensive and i heard they have a hissing sound when you want to talk. I heard the Astro a40 is a pretty good head set (it is used in major league gaming) but it costs $250 is it really worth it?
