Can I bring my husband to the USA if I'm on unemployment?

My husband and I have been married for almost two years. He lives in Colombia and im almost done with his Visa processing. We recently received a letter that we can now pay the visa fee bill. I work for a home care agency who is relocating over an hour away, My question is if i go on unemployment until i find another job will if effect the process for his VISA? (I'm a USA citizen born and raised.)
