Double wedding band...rules?

I just got engaged a month ago. My fiance got me an amazing 2.11 cw brilliant cut diamond with tiny diamonds on the left and right sides. Well my birthday was this last saturday and he surprised me with the wedding bands...he got two. I put one on to see what it would look like with my engagement ring (the outside, not closest to my hand) and i loved it. It looks great with both (one on each side). I know that the one that goes closest to my hand is the wedding band and that i shouldnt wear it until we get married...ttt i love the bands so much, what are the rules as far as wearing the one on the outside until we get married?? it is too pretty to keep both in a box for a year!! :) (ohh and my fiance doesnt care, he said whatever makes me happy) i just dont know what to say when people ask me why i have one wedding band on already?? isnt it an eternity band anyways?? thanks!
